Meet Anna

Postnatal & Menopausal Exercise Specialist
BSc(Hons), ACSM.

My journey

​

I’ve always been fascinated by strength and movement. After completing my BSc Human Biology I became a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine and spent most of my 20’s competing in every marathon and triathlon event I could find!

​

My passion for women’s health came at the same time I began a very long fertility journey. After 10 years of training highly demanding clients in central London and competing myself, I was burned out and my hormone levels plummeted.

I studied everything I could in women’s health and got to know my own body a whole lot better. My husband and I moved out to Singapore and eventually I fell pregnant with my son via IVF.

During my 5+ years in Singapore I was lucky enough to work alongside the country’s top midwives and physiotherapists,  educating new mums about safe postnatal recovery and the merits of postnatal core & pelvic floor rehabilitation.

​

I'm now back on UK soil and hope to continue reaching out to as many new mums as possible.

​

Entering my early 40's, I started feeling the long term effects of my hormonal imbalance caused by amenorrhoea in my earlier days - fatigue, insomnia, hot flashes and an overriding feeling of never being on my best form. After getting my hormone levels checked, I realised I'd gone in to early menopause. 

​

This was a turning point for me - I turned to studying everything I could about menopause in order to help myself and others going through the transition. I completed Burrell Education's 3rd Age Woman and Meno - Strength qualifications and then became certified with The Menopause Movement as a Menopause Practitioner.

​

I've been managing my own symptoms successfully, via diet and exercise for 5 years now and I'm so much happier and stronger in myself. 

​

I want to help women going through the peri - post menopausal transition to improve their core & pelvic floor strength and to learn how to move, exercise and nourish themselves to support hormone levels and long term health.

 

To say I enjoy my job is an understatement:

I thrive on empowering women of all ages and stages of life, to feel happier, stronger and more confident in their bodies!
