Vitamin D + Menopause

As we swing towards menopause Vitamin D becomes even more important to help maintain bone health

☀️ Bone related problems such as osteoporosis become very common during this stage of our lives due to hormonal changes

☀️ Vitamin D helps regulate the amount of calcium and phosphorus in the body to help support bone growth

☀️ The body creates vitamin D from direct sunlight on the skin - so lap it up while you can - ideally at least 10 mins daily

☀️ Foods rich in Vitamin D such as oily fish, egg yolks, red meat, orange juice, dairy and plant milks will help boost Vitamin D levels

☀️ I also think it’s advisable to supplement vitamin D, especially during the winter months.
